He primarily teaches Tanakh utilizing Jewish commentators, and while he does occasionally invoke an academic source, he is not a academic teacher of Tanakh (which is fine if that suits you). What confuses me is his teaching style, which is good, but not great. He goes through the text way too fast, trying to cover far to much ground. While he does allow for any and all questions, he nonetheless does not make it easy to follow things as he speaks quickly and not always clearly, nor is his presentation always fascinating enough to make you want to keep up with him. So, I leave it up to you to decide whether or not to venture into is class. |  |
