01/03/2012 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.5 | 5 | 5 | 3 | 5 | Yes | Very highly recommended. Good lecturer, nice guy, knowledgeable, very clear, loved the fact he clearly delineated what we would need to read for each class at the very beginning of the semester. Tests are quite a bit tricky, he gives the most maddeningly infuriating multiple choice tests I've ever taken (which makes sense, he understands psychology) and you will swear you got everything right and find yourself with a lower grade then you thought you got. Read the book, and read it well, and then read it again. If you have to take psych classes, try to take classes with him.
11/07/2010 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.2 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 5 | Yes | I loved professor Rabbi Schnall's class! His tests (3) require sufficient studying but are straight forward from the book and notes, and the studying is well worth it! He is interesting in class and may even get you to think about majoring in psych! Two thumbs up!!! [ 1/1 people found this rating helpful. ]
04/27/2010 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.5 | 5 | 5 | 3 | 5 | Yes | Great lecturer, keeps class involved and interested. Tests are multiple choice and are only easy if you prepare well and read the book.

12/23/2008 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.5 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | Yes | Very easy class and open to questions. Be careful though because he tests as much on the reading as on class discussion. Participate a lot, it factors into your grade. Even if you're not saying anything smart, it'll still count for you.
09/08/2008 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.2 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 5 | Yes | Hes very knowledgeable, and throws in some divrei torah inthe lesson. very smart, a great class.
01/08/2008 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.8 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 5 | Yes | Very straightforward class. Do the readings (which are fairly interesting and not that much), come to class, and do some review for each of the three non-cumulative exams...not hard to get a good grade. He is a fair grader, and good lecturer. [ 1/1 people found this rating helpful. ]
09/10/2007 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.8 | 5 | 5 | 4 | 5 | Yes | Lecture and reading largely mirrored one another, so class was more interesting if the readings weren't done in advance. Otherwise, the professor is engaging in class, great outside of class. overall, i'd recommend it [ 1/1 people found this rating helpful. ]

02/18/2007 | 1010 - Introductory Psychology | | 4.0 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 4 | Yes | Professor Schnall is a great professor, possibly the best the YU psych department currently has to offer. He makes class interesting, fun, interactive and even throws in a bit of Torah once in a while (not too much, don't worry). He presents the material clearly, takes questions and shows video clips nearly every class. His only flaw is that his tests are very difficult. They focus on details, and require you to know the classes as well as basically every bolded and italicized term in the textbook (as an aside the textbook is a pleasure to read). All and all, strongly recommended. [ 1/1 people found this rating helpful. ]
