He goes through the material, reviewing too much material from introduction, and spending too much time on the biology of development. However, he does show videos nearly every class, and brings in the occasional contemporary study, keeping things interesting. The only homework is reading and there are 3 mildly difficult non-cumulative tests. Decide for yourself. The classes won't wander very far from the text at all, though every now and then he'l throw in something that happened in graduate school or subsequent studies that enrich the class, but it's very infrequent. Also, expect him to show lots of psychological studies and reports. Overall a very relaxing, enjoyable though perhaps not so stimulating class.
