It helps to have done the readings to understand the lectures, but certainly not required. Class can be boring, and sometimes it is difficult for Rabbi Roth to understand the questions that students ask in class. The workload is light- midterm, final, and a paper. He is sometimes repetitive, but overall a clear and effective teacher. He is also a man of fine character, dignity and humility. It is nice to have professors that can not only teach, but also serve as role models to the students. | |
