12/11/2012 | 3038C - Ecology | | 4.5 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 5 | Yes | This is an awesome course if you have Fridays available. The doc will take you all over NYC: Fire Island, Central Park, the Bronx Botanical gardens. You will learn about trees and if you take the time to read the textbook, learn a lot about a subject that is generally ignored at YU. You are going to fail the practicals, but do his HWs and become friendly with the Doc, and you will get a good grade.
06/06/2009 | 11002R - Essentials of Biology II Lectures | | 3.8 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 5 | No | Dr. Chiapetta is an awesome guy. He's 80 years young, knows everything, and is fun to talk to. But he's not a good teacher. His lectures are random and the material is uninteresting. His test are from the textbook, class, and whatever he decides and are hard. And he assigns a ten page paper to boot. There's got to be a better way. Plus the lab from this class sucks. Take a better science.

05/13/2008 | 1011L - Principles of Biology I Laboratory | | 4.2 | 4 | 5 | 3 | 5 | Yes | Doc, as he is known, knows absolutely everything about Biology. He does make you work a good bit to know the material, especially in the second semester with the dissection practicals - but you really do learn the material well. Hock him up, become friends with him, and you'll do fine in the course.
12/24/2006 | 1011L - Principles of Biology I Laboratory | | 3.8 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 5 | Yes | He's a little unclear and you don't know how well you're doing even with the grades you get because he's an interesting grader
