06/21/20071206 - Intermediate Hebrew II5.05555YesIf you want to learn the binyanim, this is the place and this is the guy. Inevitably, most of class time is devoted to tangents, so don't be surprised when he teaches you how to dig for oil or about chakirahs in misnagdish and chasidish kaballah. Also, my advice, push him to continue, that way you'll get to learn about all of the strange gizrot and how to conjugate them (this is, of course, if you want to learn Hebrew), because if he gets too sidetracked then some stuff gets left out.
05/02/20072688 - Twentieth-Century Literature5.05555YesThis man is a צדיק. His classes should be taken by anyone who wants to learn lots about a lot and wants to become a better person. It's rare to find such a professor who lacks arrogance yet knows even more than those other arrogant professors.
04/28/20071205 - Intermediate Hebrew I5.05555YesJust know that even though he goes waaaaaaaaaaay off topic for nearly the majority of the semester - and he really knows enough about the most random things to do it (Canadian meteorology and 18th century rhyme schemes, for example). Also, not so much to do with him as with the course, Hebrew is riddled with exceptions, so you should know that most of the rules in 1205 are "general rules" or "kind of true" - if you think that the claims about phonology are meant realistically, you'll just get yourself frustrated. Overall a very helpful course.
01/07/20071206 - Intermediate Hebrew II4.55535YesProf. Shneider knows about everything. He teaches very well. His tests are not so easy, but if you do the homeworks, you will be fine and get an A. He is an extemely nice professor.
