However, great attendance policy and with the notes from Spring 2011 this class becomes easier. | | 12/31/2010 | 3800 - Personality | | 2.2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 3 | No | Ditto to what that guy said. Developmental is bearable, but personality is a painful process. Not only is the subject material just a review of intro, but the tests are also packed with obscure questions that in no way test you on your knowledge of psychology. It's not a hard class, but man, those tests are killers.
But if you are in the class, participate, because it'll boost your grade (and you'll need it!) | | 01/21/2009 | 3800 - Personality | | 3.5 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 3 | No | This is not a good class in any aspect. The subject is terrible; 'Personality' feels like 'Psychology for Dummies,' it's like intro to intro to psych only poorly organized and uninteresting. The textbook, written by Funder, is even worse. It reads like Funder's memoirs on psychology, and contains plenty of wrong information to boot. Unfortunately, as this field is so obscure and silly, there are no other textbooks. Professor Saiger, while a nice guy, is not a very good teacher. Everything he says in class is almost straight out of the textbook. Furthermore, he uses PowerPoint slides that say everything he's gonna say before he says it, making things worse. His papers are juvenile. His tests are hard. Oh, and in case you think of going to Bacon, I've heard that's not so good either, so good luck with all this. | | Number of Ratings: 3 Want to add a Professor Rating for this Course? Click Here | |
